Gareth Bale
Price tags can often be the
making or the breaking of a footballer. Some cannot live up to the
billing and for around £80 million you expect to get your money's worth.
That is what Real Madrid paid Tottenham for the Welsh winger and boy
are they getting value for money. Incredible as it sounds.
Bale's protracted transfer saga might have given him a slow start out
of the blocks, but he is flying now.
The former Southampton youngster
almost single-handedly downed Real Valladolid on Saturday with the perfect hat-trick, and he also assisted Real's fourth goal.
The 24-year-old scored a left and right-footed goal along with a
header, all while Cristiano Ronaldo watched on from the sidelines
confirming the belief that Bale is indeed currently one of the world's
best footballers.
